The mother has fought against institutional racism she has personally felt in her career as a successful Hollywood film executive. The daughter, a leader of the BLM movement at her school, is in the streets fighting for social justice and the racism that has been with the country since its inception. When the daughter goes missing after another demonstration, the mother learns she has been kidnapped by a white supremacy group and is being held for ransom. Their conflict now becomes a life and death issue.
