Forced to visit his mother in Marseille, Angelo leaves his friend Alex to undertake alone the climbing of a macif. Seriously injured after a fall, barely conscious, he is saved after dark by a woman in a car. Once out of the hospital, Alex sets out to find her and finds her among members of a remote community deep in the mountains. Caroline asks him to help her explain the disappearance of her young son Flavien five years ago.
